I want to tell you a fishing story. Zach Haines is a ten year old boy from Libby, Montana. Zach loves fishing, mostly for trout in a creek near his house. He really wanted to go saltwater fishing for salmon. See, Zach has been really sick, and through a great group called the Make-A-Wish Foundation, kids who are ill can get a wish. So a couple Charter Captains from Anacortes, Jay Field and Brett Rosson took Zach fishing on Brett's boat in the San Juan Islands. They caught a lot of fish! Zach had a great time, and was probably able to not feel so sick for a while. Jay and Brett are a couple of good guys who made a kids day. Sometimes we get wrapped up in our high dollar tournaments, high horespower rigs, and highly competitive natures. But this sport alway's comes back to taking a kid fishing. A day spent out on the boat. A little boy with a pole headed to the creek with his dog. A wish and a fish. It always comes back to that.
