Kootenay Lake is firing up!!! Still a bit warm, but getting some real nice fish. Water temp is 56 - 57.

Pulled out three between 10 and 17 lbs a couple of days ago,on the 221 and 204. Most days getting fish over 10 lbs. The calm days have been tough but with some patience getting rainbows on Lyman Plugs at 21 - 55 ft. Had a couple of killer Bull Trout days down around 123ft with Lymans and spoons.

It's funny though, one day we did 12 bullies, the next we did 3, and the last couple of days none.

Most of the fish - rainbows and Bullies are super healthy looking which is nice to see. Real footballs! Lots of feed for them.

The Woodbury Derby was a big success. 21 lbs took first place. The Kaslo derby is on Nov.9,10,11. Big prize money will be offered. Last year first prize was almost $4000.00.You can phone Barren's Tackle at 250-353-2617 or Kaslo Hotel at 250-353-7714 for more info.
