You Know You're Getting Spoiled When......

you go out fishing in Puget Sound, limit your boat by 0830, and consider that a "slow" day. hit Shipwreck down into Brown's Bay. no doubles, but "ground" it out, going 4/6. white coho killer, green spatter back hootchie, purple haze hootchie, and even a brad's cut plug fished solo above a dummy flasher all caught fish. a number of boats coming back into Everett with us had similar stories.

I think it was that burst of rain yesterday morning. Went out this a.m. and were done in an hour. We had 3 in the box around 8 lbs. then hit a double to end it. Released the smaller one which was about like what we been getting and the other was pushing 10 lbs. They're getting bigger. Dang had a pic and it says it's too big, can only be 256KB... isn't that kind of small? Can anyone tell me how to make the pic smaller to fit here.

Oh yeah, off the shipwreck out in the middle from 50 to 90 feet on the wire. Purple Haze filled with green bucktail 30" back.

BTW Tdub, why did you use so many diff things if the fish were hitting what you had on... and what the heck is a "dummy flasher"?

I use photobucket to adjust the size of my pictures. It's kind of a pain but it works. If anyone has a easier way I would like to know it too.

my partner is a loyal coho killer user, so she started with that until i convinced her to switch to the purple haze squid after the CK went dead for over an hour. she hooked up within 15 minutes of the change :) as far as the brad's cut plug, we had good luck with that the other day dragging it 40' behind the boat as the third rod, so i was just experimenting. a dummy flasher is a flasher snapped directly to the DR ball, set maybe 5-10' back, then clip your line and whatever lure about 5' above it and about 5' behind it. the flasher is just there solely as an attractor. when they hit your lure, it's just you and your fish, no flasher. i usually use Qcove's anyway, but still there's some drag even with those. like i said, was just playing around.

Gotcha I've used that technique before just never heard it called a dummy flasher... when I've used it in the past I typically troll a whole herring off the DR release. Dammit tried to post the picture again after downsizing it and now it tells me "it's not allowed"... WTF

Oh now I know, it's because I took the fish pics laying on an old Cougar flag I pulled out 50cal
