FRESHWATER

One customer fishing Lake Stevens said he's been doing well catching kokanee at 30-40 feet down on his downrigger. He said he's been seeing fish on the surface but the biters have been deeper.

Lake Samish has been putting a few kokanee out with most anglers succeeding on the shallower fish, flatlining behind the boat. So far, the fish are running on the small side but size usually increases throughout the spring. Look for most lakes to pick up as temps continue to get warmer and days get longer.
