My grandson caught these fish this week. Now is a great time to take kids fishing.
New Melones Lake
Been on the water most of the week, and fishing has been productive as long as you are willing to pull in your downriggers and pull up on the bank. We have been putting limits in the boat every day, pulling into coves and using nightcrawler marshmallow combos and Rainbow Power Bait with garlic. Trolling has been good using Apex Purple/red with a small piece of nightcrawler about 120 ft. behind the boat, use a small weight to keep it under the surface. Morman creek area has been the best area for trolling this week. Surface temp. has gone up to 56.4 with the good weather,it is nice but I wish we would get more rain we need it.
